Documentation
video takes various forms, and is typically associated with a significant construction
projecteither new construction or a major renovation. Sometimes companies or
government organizations will carry out video documentation of projects without having a
precise plan regarding the eventual use of such video. Nevertheless, they choose to go
ahead with documentation because they know that at some point in the near or distant
future there will likely be a need to call upon a video archive. Conversely, there often
is a clearly defined purpose already established when a company or organization begins a
video documentation project. Either way, documentation can often be very important. Some
examples of Kemp Communications video documentation projects:
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport 3rd Runway Project
Kemp Communications has been retained to document the construction of the new
all-weather runway at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This ongoing documentation is
taking place whenever a new and/or significant phase in the project occurs, such as the
beginning of 3rd runway taxiway construction. The purpose of this documentation is to
build an archive of video which will be the source of periodic edited videos on the runway
construction. These videos will be used for both internal and external communications.

Pacific Rim Resources (PRR)—Seattle
Monorail Project
Kemp Communications
recently completed a shoot for PRR and its client, the Seattle Monorail
Project. The subject: a public forum on early-stage planning options for the
project. The purpose of the video is public information.

Mortenson Construction Projects
Minneapolis-based Mortenson Construction is one of the largest construction companies
in the world. The company does video documentation of its major projects for use in both
internal and external communications. Kemp Communications has done periodic documentation
for Mortenson at Seattle-area projects such as Metros Westpoint Treatment
plant, the University of Washington Physics Astronomy Building, the Harborview Medical
Center expansion, construction of the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, and at other sites.

NASDAQ
NASDAQ called upon Kemp Communications to document a three-day conference it held in
Seattle. The conference brought together leaders from three major segments of the U.S.
economy: Internet/computer related companies, biotechnology, and the stock market. The
theme of the conference was the synergy between the industry groupings, and it featured an
exploration of the possibilities that may flow from such synergy. The conference included
addresses by the top officials of NASDAQ, as well as from leaders of companies such as
Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Immunex, and many others. All major proceedings of the
conference were documented by Kemp Communications.
