Well-designed
training/orientation videos can save a company or public sector organization both time and
money. This is accomplished by using video to cut the time spent in classrooms and in
touring sites in order to learn pertinent information. Video can distill important sets of
facts, rules, procedures, etc., and present this information in compact, highly effective
ways, reducing the time spent on training. Another advantage: some companies/organizations
lend training video to new employees so that training can take place off-site.Some
examples:
Amgen
This Seattle biotechnology company is attracting international attention with its new
and highly effective anti-arthritis drug, Enbrel. During Enbrel's clinical trial phase,
Immunex retained Kemp Communications to produce a training video which was distributed to
doctors taking part in the trials at various sites around the country. Amgen wanted to
ensure that all participating physicians would use precisely the same methods and
techniques during the examination of patients taking part in the clinical trials. Kemp
Communications produced a video which was distributed to all participating physicians,
instructing them in exact, step-by-step exam procedures. Amgen believes the video played
a part in helping ensure critically important patient-exam uniformity during Enbrel's
clinical trials.

Corus Pharma:
Corus chose Kemp Communications to produce a patient-education video for
two of its asthma medications, Lidocaine and Aztreonam. The videos walked
patients through the process of using the medications using nebulizer device
manufactured by PARI Respiratory. Kemp Communications has also recently
completed patient-education videos for PARI.

FAO Schwarz/MasterCard
During a recent Christmas shopping season, FAO Schwarz and MasterCard developed a joint
promotional campaign in which FAO customers received special discounts when they purchased
toys using a MasterCard. The New York headquarters of FAO Schwarz selected Kemp
Communications to produce a training video which was distributed to all of the company's
stores throughout the United States. The video used actual FAO clerks to explain the
various steps involved in ringing up sales qualifying for the FAO/MasterCard promotional
discounts. The video also featured on-camera appearances by FAO Chairman John Eyler. This
was the third video produced for FAO Schwarz by Kemp Communications.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (in conjunction with the FAA)
Kemp Communications has produced a number of training and orientation videos for
Sea-Tac Airport. One example: a video which is required viewing for every new employee who
comes to work at the airport, regardless of the job or its duration. The video gives both
a general overview and specifics regarding security regulations mandated by the FAA. It's
shown as part of classroom training which all new hires must go through in order to obtain
identification badges.
